FAQs For Existing Retail Individual Health Policy Holders

Yes. Any premium payment you make on or after September 22, 2025, will no longer have the 18% GST. This will reduce your total payment.

No. The old 18% GST rate applies to all premiums paid before September 22, 2025.

No. Since your renewal date is before the change takes effect, you will still pay the 18% GST. You will receive the 0% GST benefit on your next renewal in 2026.

Yes, you will be entitled to a refund. If your policy was issued on or after September 22, 2025, we will refund GST.

No, we strongly advise against this. A lapse in your policy, even for one day, can leave you and your family unprotected from medical emergencies.

The main risk is being uninsured. Your benefits like No-Claim Bonus and continuity on waiting periods are protected if you renew within the grace period. But there is no coverage available in the grace period in case of an unfortunate medical emergency. This GST change does not affect your policy benefits.

To keep your policy active and your benefits secure, please pay your premium on time. The 0% GST will automatically apply to any payments due on or after September 22, 2025.
